| Open the writing processor - Microsoft Word. | |
The title "Love Is..." should be centered at the top of the page. Choose a font, one you like and I can read. Select a size from 16-20. Enter twice to leave a space below the title and the rest of the document. |
Begin each thought with a heart shaped bullet. The bulleted list should be aligned on the left. Click the bullet button to place the first default bullet on your document. |
Right-click that bullet to see a menu appear. Click on "Bullets and Numbering" in the menu that appeared from the right-click. |
Click the
"Customize" button. |
Click the
"Character" button below the row of bullet choices shown. |
A symbol window will appear with many different symbols. Use the Font drop-down-menu to see even more. Look under the fonts Webdings and Wingdings. Locate a heart symbol. Click once on the heart. Click the OK button. |
To make the heart red, click the Font button to the left of the Character button we just used. Use the drop-down color menu to select red. Change the size to 18, making the heart bigger -- easier to see. Click the Ok button. |
Click the OK buttons
on any remaining window. |
Now set the font size for your list to the standard type size of 14, and choose a standard font, either Arial or Times New Roman. Begin typing your thought to complete the Love Is... introduction. |
Pressing Enter after completing your thought. Another heart shaped bullet should appear automatically. |
Move to the next computer and type your same thought there. If that seat is still occupied, kindly stand behind the chair waiting for that student to complete their thought. |
When you return to your original seat, check to be sure your thought is listed as the first bullet item. Type your name and align it on the right near the bottom of your document. No bullet needed here. Can you stop or remove the bullet? Bonus points if you can. |
Spell check and proofread to make sure everything is correct. |
To see how it would look on a printed page click File in the Menu Bar. Move over Print onto Print Preview, and click. Look over the preview to see if everything is well placed. Click the Close button at the top of the Print Preview window and then make any changes on your document if needed. |
When you're ready to print, click File, then Print, and OK. When the printing information window disappears, you may exit. Save before exiting if you are instructed to do so. |
